It was a gorgeous day.
The strong wind now calmed down mostly, and the clouds started to disappear.
The sunshine is burning hot, and this is summer 🙂
For today’s dive cruise, we went around the west side of Ishigaki Island.
With the sun out there with no cloud covering it, there was plenty of sunlight under the water.
If there is no light, bring a torch, and you will find the total darkness actually is quite colorful.
Corals around the shallow reef – are always stunningly beautiful…
Did you have fun?
It is truly great weather, but it may be getting a bit too hot…
The water temperature around the surface has risen to 30C, which is too hot for the corals.
We started to see some bleaching of the corals here and there.
The corals are desperately waiting for some typhoons to come and stir up the cold water from the bottom.
Typhoons are not generally welcome by us humans, but it has some important roles in nature.
Btw, our Mantas were on summer holiday today…
