It was forecasted to be rainy until the morning, and they stay cloudy.

But it rained on and off all day…

Looking forward to drying my laundry outside 🙂

As for our dives, we cruised down to Taketomi and Kuroshima area today.

Check out this huge Hermit crab we found! It was around 40cm long!

Where did you find such a big shell???

Hingebeak shrimp.

Nice color 🙂

We cruised to the Kuroshima area from the second dive.

The water was clear, but there were lots of volcanic pumices today.

Particularly around the shallow area.

Can you see the black dots?

Lots of Blacktipped squirrelfish in the cave.

When we came back to the shallow area and looked up to the surface, we found mantas!

So we stayed around the Kuroshima area for the afternoon dive.

The water suddenly turned cold – probably around 20C?

Maybe it was due to the ebb tide.

Can you see the dark layer of water in the picture? That’s the cold water.

I don’t like it, but this brings lots of plankton, so could be a good sign…

Yes!

Mantas came for the plankton!

We saw a total of four mantas!

And a turtle!

There were lots of Milkfish too.

They were also feeding on plankton.

Hope it will stop raining tomorrow…
