☆ V-Gorge, Kuroshima Island (30m)
☆ Manta Point, Panari Island (25m)

That was cold.

It may be considered “cold” even around Tokyo – it was 13C!

Our guests were shocked, and rightly so.

But we had requests for mantas, so here we go!

We started off with Taketomi’s white sand point – Ribbon Eel Reef.

Although the water was very clear, the reef was covered by some cotton-like seaweed, which is unique for the spring season, and we could not find the hole of the Ribbon eel.

But we found many Brown-banded pipefish.

We cruised down to the Kuroshima area for mantas but found none…

So for the last chance, we went to Panari Island for the afternoon dive.

And it was the right call…

There were two mantas hovering around the cleaning station!

Hope everyone got some nice shots!

We also encountered a big Whitetip reef shark!

The wind is forecasted to blow from the east tomorrow.

We will be diving around Ishigaki 🙂
