How is everyone spending Christmas eve?

It was a hot sunny day in Ishigaki, with the ground temperature hitting 27C!

The Christmas costume was a bit too hot, but here we go.

Winter is the season for nudibranchs.

They are usually very small, and many of them are smaller than my pinky nail, but this one was huge.

The picture below gives you an idea of the size – probably around 20cm long!

A bit creepy…

This Hermit crab was also huge.

Its shell was probably 10cm tall.

There still are lots of small ones around.

This is Moyer’s dragonet, and is around 4cm long.

Lined surgeonfish is commonly seen around shallow reefs.

At the end of our dive at Nakamoto Cave, a manta came toward us around the boat!

Some of our guests saw another one from the surface!

What a Christmas present!

It was the 777th memorial for one of our guests today, and he had 135 dives this year!

Looking forward to celebrating your 1000th memorial dive!

Well, this unusually hot weather is now over, and the wind will be shifting north, bringing some cold air.

Let’s enjoy a Christmas dive cruise!
