☆ Osaki Sand Garden, Ishigaki Island (25m)
☆ Nagura Bay Coral Garden, Ishigaki Island (25m)
☆ Nagura Bay L.O. Reef, Ishigaki Island (20m)

The wind was blowing from the west, which is not great for diving around here.

While the wind was not strong, we went to Osaki for the first dive.

Water temperature was 23C – felt a bit cold at the entry, but wasn’t a problem once we got used to it♪

There was a school of Longfin batfish and found this rather small one with a big injury.

Not sure who did this to this poor baby…

As the wind picked up, we moved down to Nagura Bay from the second dive.

This area is full of sea life.

Corals are beautiful, but be careful not to touch them.

Particularly this Fire coral is very poisonous.

We recommend a 5mm full suit with undervest, but some people feel differently.

This is our repeater guest, and he dives with surf pants and only with a 3mm jacket – he goes with this up to 20C…

The translucent body of a Longnose hawkfish is stunningly beautiful, but it moves around quickly and is hard to get a good shot.

Upside down goby.

The picture is not upside down. He is.

Blacksaddled coralgrouper.

This is a juvenile, and around 15cm long.

It can grow up to around 1m.

There was a beautiful rainbow after the dives 🙂

We are planning to head down to Kuroshima tomorrow!
