Just like winter
October 22, 2021
Weather：Cloudy sometimes rainy
Wind Direction：North northeast (5→7m/s)
Diving point (visibility)
☆ Potato Reef, Taketomi Island (30m)
☆ Nakamoto Cave, Kuroshima Island (20m)
☆ Manta Point, Panari Island (25m)
North wind was strong as forecasted, and the condition was just like in winter.
So we selected dive points which are not affected by the north wind.
First we started off with a sand point of Taketomi Island – Potato Reef.
Visibility was super good, and we enjoyed a relaxing dive in beautiful clear blue water♪
One of our guests group canceled their Ishigaki trip twice in the past due to the state of emergency, and finally made it here this time!
Glad you are back!
A huge Hermit Crab – size of my palm!
This was hanging on the ceiling 🙂
This nudibranch was only around 1cm long.
And this was probably 5mm!
Who is this??
It’s a Longfin Snake-Eel.
How about this?
A shot of a Horseshoe Hawkfish from the front.
Looks very different when viewed from different angles.
We were thinking of going to Yonara for the afternoon dive, but the swells were too high for the area.
Instead, we went to Panari Manta Point, cruising down in rough condition!
…but unfortunately there was no manta…
It was a very rough ride back home.
The condition was just like in winter, and it will probably be the same tomorrow.
Are we already in winter?
