North wind again…

September 29, 2021

Weather:Sunny then cloudy
Ground Temperature:31℃
Water Temperature:29℃
Wind Direction:Northeast (5m/s)
Swell: 2m

Diving point (visibility)

☆ Osaki Sand Garden, Ishigaki Island (20m)
☆ Potato Reef, Taketomi Island (20m)
☆ Shark Hole, Taketomi Island (20m)

It was too windy for the Manta Point again… 🙁

Is it because of the typhoon? Or the north wind season has come?

I know there are mantas there now…

Hope we can have good days in October!

We had the first dive at Osaki, and then moved down to south of Taketomi Island for two more dives.

Bicolour Fangblenny.

Looks very much like Forktail Blenny, but this one is cuter 🙂

Redblotch Razorfish.

Elegant Sanddiver.

They may look very mundane, but their males are very beautiful when they spread their fins.

That happens when the males are fighting, or when the males are trying to get attention of females.

But it is very hard to capture that moment…

Hope I can get a good shot someday 🙂

Stocky Anthias.

Flabellina Exoptata – nudibranch season has not come yet, but there always are some around 🙂

This north wind is forecasted to stay tomorrow…

Where shall we go?
