500th memorial dive! What an accomplishment! Congratulations!
Beauuuuutiful condition! For the first dive of the day, we cruised west on this flat water to Kayama Island, located on the east of Iriomote.
There are number of long reefs around the north of Kayama island, and they are all covered with lively corals. You can find lots of small macro sea life on the reef, too.
Visibility is high, and you can enjoy breathtaking scenery of the arch.
Advanced teams and beginner teams dived at different dive points for the second dive. Advanced teams dived at Yonara Channel to find some mantas, but there was none today… 🙁 However, we found rather rare Spotted eagle rays swimming around.
Another reef and arch point of Iriomote… Truly beautiful…
The arch was full of Fragile cardinalfish.
The last one was Kabira manta point! But only two out of six teams saw a manta passing by very quickly…
A Green turtle came to us and said “Don’t be discouraged. There are some bad days.”
It was such a hot day… Don’t forget to take enough water!
