It was a nice sunny day with ground temp of 31C and water temp 28C, with gentle breeze 🙂
The first dive of the day was at Purple queen reef of Osaki. Visibility was average, but we all enjoyed lots of beautiful see life of Ishigaki!
Although the water temperature is rising, there still are some nudibranch around – Halgerda carlsoni. There was another Halgerda carlsoni around and they were slowly moving towards each other… Maybe we could have waited and see mating of the two, but we probably have used up the entire dive just for that! 🙂
Razorfish – it is really fun watching them swim! They swim horizontally with their body up – just like underwater version of moon walk.
Our DSD guests took some nice shots with a Green turtle.
The second dive was at Kabira Manta city, where we had super high visibility of 30m+ today!….. but with no manta 🙁
So we switched gear and cruised west, to Yonara channel for our third dive. This is a drift dive point with around 25m deep, and available to experienced divers.
As we jumped in and proceeded to the bottom, we were surrounded by five mantas!
Yonara channel is white sand point, and you need to stay down on the sand to watch mantas. The patch reefs are low, and mantas will be right in front of you when they come over the reef!
They are BIIIIIG!
Glad you were able to see mantas today! Thank you for diving with Prime Scuba Ishigaki!
